A virtual visit is a wonderful way for us to connect, no matter where you are. You’ll receive the same personalized, professional care, just from the comfort of your own home.
To help me understand your baby’s feeding patterns and make the most of our session, please follow these simple steps.
These short videos help me see what’s going on with your baby’s feeding before we meet online.
Natural daylight or a bright lamp works best, especially if you’re taking close-up shots of your baby’s face or mouth.
If someone can hold your phone or camera, it’ll make things much easier while you focus on feeding and positioning your baby.
A little sound or movement is completely fine — as long as I can see what’s important.
Several short clips (about 15–30 seconds each) are easier to upload and review than one long video.
Try to record a typical latching session. A side angle works best so I can see how your baby approaches and attaches during feeding.
If there’s anything you’re unsure about — such as pulling off, fussing, clicking, or milk leaking — capturing those moments in a short video can really help me understand what’s happening.
Get a close-up of your baby’s cheeks and lips while they’re feeding. It’s most helpful to include the beginning and middle of a feed.
If you’d like support with pumping, take a picture of your nipple inside the flange so I can check for comfort and fit.
This allows me to review your videos ahead of time so we can spend more of your session focusing on tailored guidance and support.
If you’re not sure what to record or how to upload your videos, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I’m here to make this process easy and help you get the most out of your virtual consultation.
