Meet me, Roshena Moledina
I offer expert guidance and heartfelt support to empower your family's feeding journey.

The heart behind LactaConsult
I am Roshena Moledina, a Registered Nurse (RN), Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) graduate, and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). With over 15 years of experience in Maternal Child Health, I have had the privilege of supporting families as they nurture, feed, and connect with their babies.
Outside my professional role, I am a wife to an incredibly dedicated and supportive partner, and a proud mother to two amazing children who are the absolute light of my life. It is through their presence, and the love, joy, and perspective they bring, that I have been inspired to create something truly meaningful in this work. Their beautiful spirits continue to fuel my passion for supporting families with compassion, knowledge, and heart.
Parenting is a profound and beautiful journey, filled with moments of joy, and sometimes, unexpected challenges. Feeding your baby is often one of the most impactful parts of that experience, and I am here to help you feel informed, supported, and empowered, every step of the way.

Discover the story behind my passion for supporting families
My love for helping families began early in my career as a nurse, where I saw just how important feeding decisions are to a family's well-being. Many parents I worked with needed not only answers, but also empathy and kind guidance during this deeply personal time.
This inspired me to pursue specialized training and become an IBCLC. Over the years, I have partnered with families from all walks of life, and each experience has deepened my understanding of how personal and unique each feeding story can be. It is this personal connection and the opportunity to provide thoughtful, nonjudgmental care that continue to fuel my passion for this work.

An International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) holds the highest, internationally recognized credential in lactation care. It requires rigorous clinical training, supervised hands-on experience, and passing a comprehensive board exam. When you work with an IBCLC, you get evidence-based clinical management of breastfeeding, chestfeeding, and human-milk feeding, delivered with compassion, not guesswork.
As an RN with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) and over 15 years in Maternal Child Health, I bring a clinical, whole-family lens to feeding. That means I can recognize how sleep, recovery, mental health, medications, and your baby's growth all connect, and guide you safely, while knowing when to loop in your primary care provider.
Yes. Virtual consultations are highly effective, and many families prefer them. With a little preparation, good lighting and a couple of short feeding videos. I can assess latch, positioning, milk transfer, and pumping just as thoroughly, and you receive the same personalized care plan. Virtual appointments are available to families across Canada.
Coverage varies by provider. Many extended-health and RN-eligible plans reimburse lactation or nursing services, either fully or in part. I provide a detailed receipt for every visit so you can submit for reimbursement. I recommend checking with your individual insurer beforehand to confirm what your plan includes.
That's completely normal, start with the contact form and tell me a little about where you are and what you're hoping for. I'll help you choose the service that fits your situation, whether that's a prenatal class, a full IBCLC consultation, a flange fitting, or ongoing support.
